Palazzo Mandurino
The table at Librarìa del Gusto seen from above: a solid wood board with twelve dishes on mismatched period porcelain, and two chefs arranging them.

Kitchen, bar, culture

"Hospitality, food, curiosity": these are the three words the Librarìa introduces itself with, holding together things that usually stay apart — home cooking and the urge to explore, respect for the land and for the seasons.

On the ground floor of the Palace, among the vaults and the bookshelves.

Dinner outdoors in the garden in the evening: tables laid with red chairs, the flower-shaped wall lights glowing on the stone wall and the lit pool at the back.

The restaurant

A new idea of cooking, conceived as a space open to discovery and exploration: a true Librarìa del Gusto — a library of taste.

The lounge bar counter: the bartender shaking a cocktail in front of shelves of bottles, hanging glasses and jars of infusions.

Lounge bar

Made to be enjoyed at any time of day. From breakfast to aperitivo and evening cocktails, the space adapts naturally, always keeping a balance of atmosphere, simplicity and quality.

  • Squares of focaccia with cherry tomatoes in a wooden crate, resting on bay and myrtle leaves.
  • A fillet of fish with crispy skin, green shoots and a spoon pouring over the pan juices.
  • A herb risotto with chickpeas and cream, served on a period plate decorated with roses.
  • A chef lifts a freshly caught fish with both hands against the Lecce-stone wall, in front of the corten-steel flower-shaped wall light.
  • The Librarìa dining room seen from the entrance: the large black-framed windows, the shelved wall loaded with books, plants and objects, the laid tables and the lit flower-shaped wall light.
  • The long rough-wood table in front of the Librarìa's industrial windows, with black chairs in a row, the pale stone-block wall and two flower-shaped wall lights.
