The legend

Sikalindi

Some come from afar, fall in love with this land, stay, and become one with it. Just like Sikalindi (as the prickly pear is called in the local Griko language), which — originally from distant, exotic lands — is today an inseparable part of the Salento countryside, among centuries-old olive groves and dry-stone walls.
